Living in four different communities located in the Algarve of Portugal, Carmen Körner was documenting various alternative ways of life. She was fascinated by the social and sustainable way people live there. Some communities were nearly self-sustainable, which is really impressing nowadays. All communes were founded at different times - from three months to seven years ago. So the work, which had to be done there, was very various, too.
